Mom and M help me reattach the picture of my Maui church that had fallen off the wall. The picture was small and weighed nothing and we were using Command Strips to attach things so we could remove them without damaging the wall. M did not like the idea of using the command strip for some reason, so he cut the one long strip into four small squares that he put in each corner of the picture. As I was watching him do that, I knew there was something wrong, but I couldn't say what. A little while later, I realized that he had gotten rid of the easy removal part of the command strip. Crap. Taking that picture off the wall would either involve removing paint or taking half an hour to carefully separate the adhesive from the wall. Oh well, until then it definitely won't move.
We started with a Wallace and Gromit short called A Matter of Loaf and Death. We only had an hour left and Mom suggested something fun by Jim Gaffigan? So we jumped over to Hulu and watched his latest stand-up special about how he lost weight. Very funny. Not his best special in my opinion, but funny nonetheless.

R came at 2 PM, but we decided that it was not a good time for a massage because I am being overrun by bacteria every other day and I was really feeling it today. The massage would just spread the bad bacteria all over my body and that is no good! I was looking forward to taking my supplements, as I know that will greatly improve the situation. They should be in either today or tomorrow. I am on the lookout!

The nurse said that they needed a prescription from my doctor for the new supplements that are here. I called my nutritionist’s office and told them to be on the lookout for a call from my hospital. I told them Leahi wanted a prescription for the supplements and to say they were to treat my MS. I thought they had said that before for an earlier batch of pills and that would be sufficient.

I had made a point of saying hi to Freddie in my mind, so I was not surprised when he came out of his stroller and sat close to me. Dr. R was remodeling her bathroom and the workers had been making a lot of fuss earlier that day. I always let cats do whatever they want when they are around me and I have a very calming energy, which they like. Freddie was soaking it in and he went over to my right hand that doesn't move and sat down squarely on top of it! Fabulous!! He stayed like that for most of the hour. We got some nice pictures of him today in that position. Of course, you can't see anything of my right hand because he is completely covering it, but it's there! Dr. R put my left hand close to him so you can see that.

I did not need to work on the budget and I didn't have to write anything, so I spent the day watching movies and TV shows. It was very nice to watch things carefree. I have been thinking about starting a segment where I can summarize news podcasts that I listen to so other people can read the Cliff Notes version and get the gist quickly. I'm wary if I can really keep up with things and I am a little hesitant about it. As I have said before, I deliberately try to avoid politics, but there is too much going on to stay silent. Maybe I will make a section titled My Politics and put everything political there. Life will quickly merge with my blog if our president makes all the cuts in the budget he wants to.

I asked my sister to bring two packages of sushi, and she went to a local grocery store and brought a Hawaiian roll and a spicy tuna roll. I didn't see exactly what was in the Hawaiian roll besides tuna but I very much enjoy eating it for dinner. I LOVE that almost every grocery store in Hawaii has a selection of freshly made sushi. The only thing I am bummed about my sister's boycott of Whole Foods is that I do not get sushi from there anymore. I really liked the way they put a spin on the sushi with brown rice and fresh veggies. I will have to make do with traditional white rice and more authentic sushi.
We spent most of the day writing emails to both my senators and my house representative. I was glad to be one more person adding their voice to the growing noise of resistance. I am going to write my next essay on DEI, as I am in a state that cannot help, but I can be immersed in that issue. My goal is to write something that clearly explains the issue and how it has been distorted recently.
Sunday, March 16th
Mom came by after church and we played some Connections in the NYT Games app. We are getting better at being able to group things, although sometimes the groups are really not something either of us would know, like WNBA teams. Yikes! We are not bashful about choosing groups just so we can see what the answer is.
This week's photo illustrates what it looked like to have Freddie sit on my right hand while my left hand was in front of him. I absolutely love how comfortable he looks napping on me! Hooray, Kitty Buddy! Have a great week, everyone!
