Thai food and baklava

Mom and my sister came over to eat dinner with me. Our intention was to eat at the dining room at the far end of the hall with a really good view. It's an amazing panorama of Diamond Head and then all of Honolulu. We got down to the room, admired the view, and immediately noticed how hot the room was. So we turned around and went back to the dinky dining room across the way from my room. That would be a great place for a breakfast but not dinner.

We ate decent Thai food, and my sister brought baklava for dessert. That was yummy but a rather odd pairing, I thought. My sister will bring Humphrey for another long visit tomorrow. Yippee!! She's doing that because I have my MS drug infusion all day Monday. So, no Humphrey that day.

I take a drug called Ocrevus, which is an infusion every 6 months. Because of moving to Honolulu and all that confusion, I haven't had the drug for over a year, and I am very overdue. I usually do not notice a difference taking the drug, but now I am realizing it stopped the disease from progressing. In the last six or seven weeks, I have noticed a significant reduction in the use of both my hands. There is a man who does maintenance exercises with me on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He exercises both arms and both legs.

I have a trapeze above my bed for exercise, and he would help my right hand grip the triangle and hold there for 20 seconds. All of a sudden, my right hand could not grip it at all. My left hand is often curled and sometimes it won't straighten. I am definitely looking forward to improvement in both hands after this treatment. Mom will be with me for the entire infusion, so look forward to photos and a post then.
