I love how the website turned out. It looks great, but I am not crazy about how this company treats comments. The reader fills out their name and email address and then writes a comment. I then receive the comment without any identifying information. The name and email of the person who made the comment is not attached to the comment when they send it to me. That's crazy! Please sign your comments! Maybe I am missing something. I will double check.
I didn't realize how much I appreciate facebook's easy likes and comments until I started my own site and did not get the immediate feedback on every posting. It really bums me out not to get some kind of confirmation that people are reading and enjoying what I am writing. That sounds very immature of me. It should not be your responsibility as a reader to make me feel good. That's a reflection of how I have been feeling lately. You can tell by the fact I haven't posted anything in two weeks.
Things are getting better. My friend who gives me a massage every week was off for 5 weeks and is back now. The psychologist at the hospital where I live can take me as a patient finally. That will help a lot. My aunt is coming for Thanksgiving and that will be nice to see her. My birthday is coming up, but unfortunately that just reminds me of the fact that I have lived here for one year. An anniversary I am not happy about. Humphrey and
I are eager to live together again. If I did not think that was a possibility, it would plunge me into a deep depression.
I posted an ad on Craigslist last Friday. Any kind of response will buoy my spirits. Until then I will munch on the candy corn my sister got me. (Am I the only person that likes candy corn?) I will also work on new posts. I've got to find some communities that want to learn the information I have.
I wrote the four essays that are posted before the site was up, but then I got so eager for people to read them, I posted them too quickly. I can't write a new essay every two weeks. It will be one a month, as I should have done from the start. So look for a new one December 1st. I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

I love candy corn, too! Must run in the family! (Michelle)
Aloha Ellen! I appreciate your blog. I’m inspired by you, and your writing is so important. You are so honest, the positives and negatives. That matters. You matter.
