I love the tropics

Okay! I updated my craigslist ad and shared it with Facebook. What do you think? Wouldn't you love to have me living in your house with Humphrey? Maybe not so much if you have to take care of me as well. I'm pleasant most of the time....

I would have posted sooner, but I was exhausted last night and fell asleep when everything was done. I love those nights because I sleep a solid 7 hours or so. And now I am a few hours away from seeing Humphrey! I thought about it last night and it would be good if I posted daily. Even just a few quick thoughts about that day. I want to get a few more tips posted, and then I will spread the link around places specifically for the disabled online. I really want to get the information to the people who can use it.

Do hashtags work if you put them at the end of anything you wrote? If so, I need to go back and add them to a lot of my posts. I still don't totally understand them, but I am not an active member of social networks. Why, I can remember when... Careful, your age is showing.

There are so many things that I wanted to tell you about. I am in a bed next to the outside windows. They are almost wasted on me because I watch so much stuff on my tablet that I don't appreciate all the light coming in from the windows. I actually had two of the three windows blacked out so I could see the screen. Even so, it's kind of amazing how much it helps me psychologically to know that windows are right next to me.

It's the same with the building. For as much as I go outside, I could be anywhere in the country, but I am very glad I live in Hawaiʻi. I can appreciate the mainland with its gorgeous fall colors and still winter tableaus. I did grow up in Michigan, drive cross country once and lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. But being in a tropical climate and still being in the United States is pretty unbeatable. If you think I don't value the advantages I have being a smart, white, disabled woman in Hawaiʻi, you are crazy.

I was going to start talking about other things, but the lunch tray is about to be delivered to me. Lunch is when they serve a dessert. I hope it's a good one, although we did have blueberry cheesecake a couple of days ago. Of course, I have a box of snacks if it's not. Have a good week!
